As a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, I discovered the road to healing, for me, was long and winding. It included years of therapy with qualified Christian counselors, trusting relationships with members of the body of Christ who offered God’s mercy, books, and music. But first and foremost, it involved getting to know the Truth, Jesus Christ, by spending time in His Word and in prayer and allowing the Spirit of God to unravel the many lies I believed about myself and about God.
The following is a list of resources that aided in both my healing from sexual abuse and in deepening my relationship with God. Perhaps you will also find some of these helpful in your own journey.

Breaking Free by Beth Moore
The Invisible Bond by Barbara Wilson
The Emotionally Destructive Relationship by Leslie Vernick
